Sadhguru: "Meditation is a certain quality, it's not an act. If you cultivate your body, your mind, your energies and your emotions to a certain level of maturity, meditation will naturally happen. It is just like if you keep the soil fertile, if you give it the necessary manure and water and if the right kind of seed is there, it will grow and bloom into flowers and fruits."

Moving Meditation

A mind-body therapy, walking meditation practice, called Kinhin in the Zen tradition, students move slowly and continuously while staying aware of the body and the mind. Focused on meditation, good posture linking breath with body motion. This practice can be done in a field, a park or room/ studio wide enough to move around. Learn More on moving meditation, Tai Chi a Chinese ancient practice that aligns the Chi in the body, which looks like slow-motion dancing, great for alleviating symptoms of fibromyalgia.  Qi Gong is to heal the body's chi and center the mind, known to reduce stress, anxiety, improve blood flow, and increase energy. View video below this page for visual introduction to Tai Chi & Qi Gong.

YIN Yoga / Restorative Yoga

Yin yoga is based on the Taoist concept of yin and yang, opposite and complementary principles in nature. Yin is stable, unmoving, hidden aspects of things; yang is the changing moving, revealing aspect. In the body, the relatively stuff connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) are yin, while the more mobile and pliable muscles and blood are yang.

A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer. Yin yoga is for you if you are tired and craving energy or you're over-stimulated and have too much energy; if your mind is overactive or your energy levels erratic.
